Ben graduated from Nottingham University in 2008 and qualified as a pharmacist following a successful pre-registration with Boots the Chemist. He has held several management positions with both Boots and Rowlands Pharmacy before becoming a Rowlands Area Manager in February 2015.

Ben now works as an Operations Manager for the Hub Pharmacy supporting pharmacies and their local communities across the North of England.

Gordon studied at RGIT, Aberdeen graduating in 1989. He completed his pre-reg year with Kingswood Chemist in Surrey, qualifying in 1990 and  worked as branch manager for the same company, latterly becoming Kingswood GK before being taken over by Lloyds.  In 1992 he moved to Cheshire/Wirral working for a small independent heavily involved in MDS and Care Homes. He became an Independent contractor in 1999 and has two contracts – one in Chester and one on the Wirral. Gordon initially joined Wirral LPC before joining South Cheshire LPC.  He was chairman of Cheshire LPC for a number of years before the merger with Wirral and now continues as the chairman of CPCW.  Gordon has also sat on Numark Advisory Board for a number of years.

 Dave studied Pharmacy at Sunderland Uni before moving on to do his pre-registration with Safeway in 1996.He managed their Nantwich branch for 5 years before transferring into Boots in Chester and then onto North Wales. In between management, he’s had a number of years being a locum for most companies across the NorthWest. He has also been a cluster manager and a pre-reg tutor and is currently settled back in Nantwich as the manager of the Morrisons branch.

Dr Ian Cubbin qualified from the Sunderland School of Pharmacy 1980 after which he joined the family firm before going on to read his doctorate jointly at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the University of Sunderland. Previous roles have included a role as a teacher practitioner at John Moores University and Ian is currently Managing Director of James Cubbin & Son,  operating five pharmacies in the Wirral. As well as being a PSNC member, Ian is a member of the Board of Assessors  for the GPhC and an NPA and Pharmacy Voice Board Member.

Stuart was raised in independent pharmacy. His parents own two pharmacies on the Wirral, where he capped bottles, topped up bags and stocked shelves throughout his younger years. After finishing a degree in Psychology at Liverpool University, Stuart went on to Pharmacy at Liverpool John Moore’s 2003-2007 and progressed to his pre-reg year in Neston to work for J Cubbin & Sons. He stayed with the company, starting as a 2nd pharmacist at the Neston High Street branch. He then went on to manage the Heswall branch, the Neston High Street branch and the Little Neston Deeside Pharmacy. In 2012 he became Superintendent and remained so until 2015 when he left Cubbin’s. Stuart can now be found at Treetops Pharmacy in Eastham, the family business he left many years ago. He has joined as a Director and superintendent, but still finds himself occasionally stocking the bags and stocking shelves.

Andrew qualified in 1983 after a pre-reg working for Boots in Essex.  After a brief spell as a relief pharmacist he worked in hospital and industrial pharmacy before returning to community management  in 1987.  Andrew relocated to Cheshire in 1989 and became a contractor shortly after  in Macclesfield where his company now run three pharmacies. He has been an LPC member since the mid 1990s.

Heather qualified in 2006 after completing her pre-reg with Lloyds at the Lymm branch. Since then she has worked in several branches and carried out various roles within the company such as cluster manager and safer care champion.

She was a previous member of Wirral LPC before the merge with Cheshire LPC.

She is currently Pharmacist manager at the West Kirby branch of Lloyds and has been there since 2009. She has also been a pre-reg tutor there for the last 7 years.

Kathy qualified in 1988 and started working for Boots as a relief pharmacist before moving into store management in 1990.  Since then Kathy has managed a variety of stores across Liverpool, Manchester and Cheshire, over a seventeen year period, before moving into Area management in 2007.  Currently Kathy is Area Manager for the Wirral area with responsibility for 17 stores. Kathy is a CCA representative and sits on both Liverpool and CPCW LPCs.

Lisa qualified as a pharmacist in 1990 and worked in hospital pharmacy before taking a role as Pharmacy Manager with the Co-operative Pharmacy. After working in a variety of roles within the company, including seconded work in GP surgeries Lisa is now is the Professional and Regulatory Standards Manager working in the Superintendent’s Team in Manchester. She works to raise and maintain professional standards in the pharmacies and to proactively protect the safety of patients. At CPCW Lisa is a CCA representative, member of the  Contractor Support and Communication Sub-Group and member Staff and Resourcing sub-committee.

Graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2009 and undertook pre-reg year with Lloyds qualifying as a pharmacist in the summer of 2010. I went on to become a relief pharmacist and following a spell as a pharmacy manager in Trafford, went on to spend five great years building up a strong community relationship as manager of a large health centre pharmacy in a suburb of Warrington. As of the start of 2016, now carries out an area manager role covering West Cheshire, Wirral, Liverpool and Sefton.

Nick qualified as a Pharmacist in 2011 with The Co-operative Pharmacy (now Well) and worked as a Pharmacy Manager in Crewe and Sandbach for a number of years. More recently he has held positions within the head office of Well as part of the Superintendent’s Team responsible for Pharmacy Services and now within the Digital Team providing professional and regulatory support. He also has worked with both the University of Manchester and Keele University to undertake research in community pharmacy, and after recently attaining his MSc in Community Pharmacy Public Health Services, is now studying for his Doctorate of Pharmacy. He is currently the vice-chair of the committee and chair of the Service Development, Implementation and Support Sub-group.

Stephen qualified in 1995 and started working for Boots in Wrexham as Pharmacy Manager. After a 2-year overseas posting with VSO, Stephen returned to the UK and worked for P. Williams Chemists Ltd. for two years. Stephen joined Rowlands Pharmacy in 2003 as Deputy Superintendent Pharmacist with a role across England, Wales and Scotland. Following a 9-month secondment working at the CCA Stephen returned to Rowlands as NHS Contract and Policy Manager. Stephen is a CCA nominee to the Community Pharmacy Wales board and sits on a number of national working groups in England and Wales. Stephen joined Cheshire LPC, the forerunner to Community Pharmacy Cheshire and Wirral, in January 2004 and held the post of vice-chairman for a number of years.

Lee started in pharmacy in 1997 working after school in a local Lloyds branch in Leek, making tea, mopping and packing paracetamol into 100’s. Lee studied Pharmacy at Liverpool John Moores University (99-03) but returned to Lloyds during the summers and achieved his NVQII in dispensing.

For his Pre-Reg he worked for P Williams in Burslem and continued to locum for them once he’d qualified. He has held manager positions for chains and independents throughout Cheshire, Staffordshire and Greater Manchester, finally settling in 2010 when he opened his own pharmacy in Knutsford.
