S Austin – 2019 Suzanne qualified as a pharmacist in 1990 after graduating from Bath University and completing her pre-registration training with P Williams Chemists. Suzanne was with P Williams for seventeen years in many roles from relief manager, branch manager, practice pharmacist in three GP funding holding practices and NHS services manager. During this time she completed an MSc in Community Pharmacy from Keele University. In 2006 she joined the Co-operative Pharmacy working in the Business Development Team and the Superintendent’s Office.  She was appointed as Chair Local Professional Network NHS England (Cheshire, Warrington and Wirral) in September 2013. She joined the LPC as a committee member in 1991 followed by an employee role from 2002 which continues.

Nick Thayer

N Thayer – 2019 Nick qualified as a Pharmacist in 2011 with The Co-operative Pharmacy (now Well) and worked as a Pharmacy Manager in Crewe and Sandbach for a number of years. Following this he held positions within the Superintendent’s Team of Well responsible for Pharmacy Services and latterly within the Digital Team providing professional support. He also has worked with both the University of Manchester and Keele University to undertake research in community pharmacy services, and after recently attaining his MSc in Community Pharmacy Public Health Services, is now studying for his Doctorate of Pharmacy. After 5 years as a committee member, he is now employed by the committee as a Pharmacy Services Manager.

Alison Williams

A Williams – 2019

Alison’s first role was as a junior secretary for ICI Chemicals & Polymers in 1988.  During her 13 years at ICI she was located at a number of sites and progressed through the company to become an IT Project Manager; she spent from 1993 to 1997 travelling to Liverpool 2 nights a week to gain a Business Studies degree from John Moores University.

Alison joined the ‘world of pharmacy’ in 2004 when she took on the role of part-time Administrator for North Cheshire LPC, expanding her role by joining South Cheshire LPC a couple of years later followed by Wirral LPC. Alison continues in the role of Business Support Officer for CPCW and is the minutes secretary for the Mersey Association of LPCs (MALPs).
